PicSleeve Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 8, 2026PicSleeve is built by Side A/B Labs with a simple approach to privacy: collect as little as possible and use information only when it is necessary for the app to work.PhotosPicSleeve accesses photos only when you choose to add them to your Sleeve.Photos you add to your Sleeve are stored locally on your device. PicSleeve does not upload your entire photo library or access photos you have not selected for use in the app.When available, PicSleeve may also access the date a selected photo was taken so that date can be displayed on its Apple Wallet pass.Creating Apple Wallet PassesWhen you choose to add a photo to Apple Wallet, PicSleeve securely sends the selected photo to Side A/B Labs’ private backend service so that a Wallet pass can be created and signed.The service is hosted using Render, a third-party cloud hosting provider, and is not used as a photo-storage or sharing service.The information sent for this process includes:• The selected photo
• A randomly generated identifier for that PicSleeve photo
• The date the photo was taken, if availableThis information is used only to create the requested Wallet pass.Temporary files created by Side A/B Labs during pass generation, including the uploaded photo and generated pass files, are deleted after the request has been processed.Third-Party ServicesPicSleeve uses Render, a third-party cloud hosting provider, to operate Side A/B Labs’ private backend service used to generate Apple Wallet passes. Information necessary to create a pass therefore passes through Render’s infrastructure when you choose to use the Add to Wallet feature.Side A/B Labs does not use third-party advertising or analytics services in PicSleeve.Apple Wallet and other Apple services are governed by Apple’s own privacy practices.Accounts and Personal InformationPicSleeve does not require an account.PicSleeve does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or other account information to use the app.Advertising and TrackingPicSleeve contains no advertising.Side A/B Labs does not use PicSleeve to track you across apps or websites and does not sell your personal information.Data RetentionPhotos stored in your Sleeve remain on your device until you remove them from PicSleeve.Information sent to the PicSleeve backend service for Wallet pass creation is used to process that request. Temporary photo and pass-processing files created by Side A/B Labs are deleted after processing is complete.Children’s PrivacyPicSleeve is not designed to collect personal information from children and does not require users to create accounts or provide personal information to use the app.Changes to This PolicyThis Privacy Policy may be updated if PicSleeve’s features or data practices change.
